Coffee & Conversation at the Burbank Public Library will host a talk with author Stephen Maitland-Lewis, moderated by award-winning talk show host Pam Atherton, on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 7 PM. Mr. Maitland-Lewis is the author of the riveting new novel, EMERALDS NEVER FADE, which will be available for purchase and signing following the Q&A. Spanning four decades, EMERALDS NEVER FADE follows the lives of two German boys, one who teaches piano to the other. When the Nazis seize power the lessons must end – one of the boys is Jewish. Forty years later, a lost family heirloom will decide their fate. The event will be held at the Buena Vista Branch Library, 300 N. Hosted by GLYD-EVANS PRESS and THE ACTORS FUND, The celebration of the publication of Emeralds Never Fade, was held at Nonna of Italy in West Hollywood on Wednesday, November 30th. The Event included a reception and booksigning and The Actors Fund was the recipient of the evening's proceeds. Among those attending to honor Stephen Maitland-Lewis and support The Actors Fund included Director, West Coast Region of The Actors Fund, Keith McNutt, Norm Crosby, Mitzi Gaynor, Kate Linder, Connie Martinson, Budd Friedman, Joni Berry, Mike Burstyn, Jane Wooster Scott, A.C. Lyles, Roger Lefkon and George Schlatter.

THE ACTORS FUND is a national human services organization that helps everyone – performers and those behind the scenes – who works in performing arts and entertainment, serving more than 12,000 people annually.
